The St. Andrews Edu-Therapeutic Garden is a thoughtfully designed space aimed at providing a therapeutic and educational environment for students. The garden features a variety of plant species, carefully selected to stimulate the senses and facilitate the learning experience. Pathways and seating areas are strategically placed to encourage relaxation and reflection, while interactive elements such as stepping stones, educational signage, and outdoor classrooms facilitate hands-on learning and engagement with nature.
In collaboration with the main contractor, we meticulously calculated the estimated costs to inform the client about the cost of the ideal project and potential cost-saving approaches. The design incorporates sustainable practices, such as solar-powered water jets and the use of wood chips to replace cast-in-situ concrete which has much higher embodied carbon. The St. Andrews Edu-Therapeutic Garden is envisioned to be a sanctuary for both teachers and students, providing a serene escape from the classroom and a place to connect with nature, learn, and heal.
